Heritage's organization was developed by a Steering Committee representing each participating practice and facilitated by Delta Health Care.
Operations
Heritage committed the financial resources necessary to form a professional management team: CEO, CFO, and COO. Heritage's Administrative Office is currently located at 3 Walnut Street in Lemoyne Pennsylvania.
This office is responsible for financial, operational, human resource and marketing functions of the Group. Management services currently provided to member practices include:

Governance
Heritage is governed by a seven-member Executive Board, which is elected by the Partners for three-year staggered terms.
Board meetings are open to all Partners and Board minutes are distributed to all Partners. The Board has delegated daily operating decisions to an Executive Committee comprised of the Board Chairman, Board Vice Chairman, CEO, CFO, and COO. Management staff report to the Executive Committee and the Board.
Physician Compensation
Heritage is organized into Physician Operating Divisions or PODs. Physician income is based on the income and expense of each POD. We chose this method because we felt it provided the proper incentives to members to control costs while maintaining current practice styles and work habits.
In addition to their direct overhead, each POD is charged with their share of overhead from the management office. Profits from ancillary services are allocated equally among the Partners and cannot be divided based on the volume or value of referrals.
Business Plan
Heritage's Business Plan over the first six years was to develop a solid infrastructure to strengthen our Group through mergers and recruitments, and to develop new and expanded ancillary services for our patients. Our goal for these services is convenience for our patients and generation of profits to defray the cost of our management office and provide income to our partners.
Since March 1, 1998, Heritage has opened the Heritage Medical Group Laboratory, Heritage Diagnostic Center, Bowmansdale Family Practice, Heritage Pediatrics, Newport Family Practice, Heritage Family Medicine and Cumberland Ear. Nose & Throat/Facial Plastic Surgery.
