Volunteer Appreciation Week
Thanks to ALL Volunteers…we could not operate without you!
Good morning. This is Dr. Joe Cincotta. In looking at my calendar this past week I saw that the fourth week in April is designated as Volunteer Appreciation Week. Thus, I thought that it would be a good time to take a moment to thank all those who volunteer in the area of health care. Our health care system could not operate as it does without the assistance of the many people who volunteer in a variety of ways in our communities and in our various health care facilities, like hospitals. These people give one of the most precious of all things – their time – and they do this solely to help others. Volunteers visit those who are confined to their homes; they transport those in need to doctor appointments; they act as receptionists or aids in hospitals; they staff local health-related charities. And, the list goes on So, to all those who volunteer in some capacity – thank you. And to those who may be wondering what you can do for your community, consider being a volunteer. It helps you and it helps us all to be better. Thank you.
