Relaxation
Good morning. This is Dr. Joe Cincotta. Here we are deep into the summer season, and I cannot resist the opportunity to promote the benefits of individual and family relaxation and recreation. This cannot be something that you are too busy for. Rather, the time spent in relaxation and recreation is something you cannot afford to miss. It is essential to our individual health and to the relationships we value. Although summer is the traditional time for longer periods of relaxation and recreation we should also seek daily opportunities for refreshment and rejuvenation of our body and spirit. For anyone concerned that this time away from work will be wasted time, please understand that it will actually enhance your work when you return to it. It is a matter of balance in our lives. Work and play are each important and require our attention. Your health depends on it. Your family deserves it. Thank you. And please be mindful of your health this week – and every week.
