Eye Examination Month
When’s the last time you had your eyes checked?
Good morning. This is Dr. Joe Cincotta. August is Eye Examination Month. Sight is a gift we all tend to take for granted until there is a problem. By highlighting vision health during this month it gives us all the opportunity to consciously be aware of the gift and to do something to insure that our vision health is not being threatened. Depending on age and health status, regular preventive eye examinations should be a part of our health maintenance schedule every 1 to 2 years. Your personal physician can help guide you as to how often this should be done. We encourage you to take the time to have this important and painless evaluation in an effort to preserve this gift. Also, take precautions to safeguard your sight through the use of safety glasses when operating machinery that can cause eye damage. There is much in our daily lives to visually appreciate. Don’t miss it. Take the necessary steps to preserve your sight. Thank you.
