We will be happy to answer any questions concerning prescriptions during regular office hours. We have a phone/voicemail line to take requests for prescription refills, although it is generally best to call your pharmacy when you need prescription refills.  The pharmacy will fax us a refill request and you can expect the prescription to be available for pickup at the pharmacy within 24 hours.

If you call us to request prescription refills, these can be processed most quickly if you have some basic information on hand when you call.  The medication container provides all the information you need:

  • The pharmacy name and phone number
  • The name and quantity of the medication
  • The dosage schedule
  • Please try to anticipate your need for prescription refills, as we are reluctant to authorize refills or changes after our usual office hours when your medical record is not readily available. We request a 24 hour notice to refill your prescription. Please do not call for refills on controlled substances (narcotics) prescriptions after hours.
